2. Kia EV6
Rated by the Vyro team: 9/10
Battery range: Up to 528 km WLTP
Price: From $75,000+ drive away
The Kia EV6 is a seriously stylish, yet seriously capable small electric crossover. This head-turner is just as good to drive as it looks, and is brimmed with technology too. It comes powered by a fast-charging 800-volt architecture that delivers an estimated 528 km of driving range on a single charge.
In terms of space, it may not have the biggest boot out there, but you’ll have a good amount of legroom in the back. Unfortunately it’s extremely difficult to get your hands on one in Australia (they’re sold in very small batches). If you’re only interested in a Kia EV6, reach out to our team and we’ll see if there’s anything we can do to get you one.

Rated by the Vyro team: 9/10
Battery range: Up to 451km for the RWD, up to 430km for the AWD
Price: From $80,000+ drive away
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a compact crossover with plenty of exciting technology features to offer. If you’re after a super-spacious interior for cargo and the whole family, look no further than this car. Not only is there loads of room, it feels pretty posh too. If its performance you want, the Long Range RWD produces 160kW and 350Nm, with 0-100km/h coming up in 7.4 seconds. However, the flagship Long Range AWD develops a combined 225kW and 605Nm, slashing the 0-100km/h time to a claimed 5.2 seconds. These are some impressive figures for a practical family hatchback.
